- Background Information on population trends in Singapore now

The population in Singapore is currently increasing. Therefore, I can infer that the measures introduced by the government is effective. The two most common reasons as for why Singaporeans do not want to give birth to babies is because they're worried of their financial problem. They're afraid that they'll not have enough money to raise their baby up as if you have a baby, you will have to buy all of the daily necessities such as milk powder & baby diapers. The other common reason as for why Singaporeans do not want give birth to babies is because they're afraid that they'll not have time to take care of the baby and can't balance between career and work. Therefore, the government introduced some measures such as the Baby Bonus Scheme, extended maternity leave and 5-day work week. And according to the statistics/data released by the Department Of Statistics, it shows an expansion of 2.1% since June last year. However, there was a 1.7% drop in the number of PRs. - Group reflection

We learnt that if we do not have teamwork, our project will not be done and this will also reflect on our skills because each of us have our own ability. So because of these, our project has been a success. We have also learnt about the measures introduced by the government to increase birth rate. The government have introduced Baby Bonus and subsidies for married couples so that couples will not have to worry about the cost of having a child and just have babies and also to not let Singapore to face the problem of an ageing population.
